Chilling out with my girls Erica and Dane at TiBraz, Boracay and got to talking about conquering our personal fears of unbridled self-expression on our blogs. This led to sharing stories about letters we’ve received from blog readers — and we all agreed that aside from being instrumental in keeping us going, that there was a common thread that linked the readers that wrote us; and that was that you guys are in some way a reflection of us, or who we used to be.

And so we jumped in front of my laptop and decided to chit chat for a few minutes, speaking words that we, as younger versions of ourselves, might have wanted to hear to make the journey a little less abrasive. Words that somehow are a testament to what could be in store for you if you, like us, choose to embrace our individuality and fight fear of judgement by opting for self expression, because it is what helps us cope (initially), flourish (eventually), and along the way, being able to see that we have in some way imparted knowledge or inspired others…well, that just makes it all real…and worth it.

So, to you, the blog reader - thank you.
