June Marieezy ft. RBTO with “Sometimes”.

Making music. #itsmorefuninthephilippines

Smiling. What I love most about being part of this little lady’s journey is witnessing the process of progress. Especially the 3:47am e-mails of edits she wrote, vocalized, and mixed herself.

2012 is going to be so soulworthy for you, my BG. Stand up straight, arch your back, and unfold those wings!

Because we haven’t shown any kind of preview of the stuff we’ve been working on for a while! Expect a track of “Lost” by RBTO and Gap from People’s Future featuring June Marieezy soon!

Focused on doing our thing so that she can focus on doing hers.

I didn’t think they were going to release it, but here’s a little taste of my late night, burning wax, putting pain into poetry anthem.

A taste of what music from Manila sounds like, my people.

Preview of “Collision” by June Marieezy

Composed and mixed by: Justin De Guzman

It finally happened.

Sometimes I find songs that move me so much, it hurts me to share them. Pains me to hear them played for ears, or in situations that may not do the music justice. (And it is a physical pain, much like the pang of jealousy in the midst of broken-heartedness.)

They were always created by faraway, underground, independent artists, these gems were.

Until today.

Today, two kids from around the way — two kids that you may have crossed paths with in the halls of Ateneo or La Salle — they put together something that justified why I’ve stubbornly refused to give up on this.

This being Hip Hop. Soul. Beats. The Philippines.

Justin De Guzman and June Marieezy.
Salamat.

It stings me to share you, but the world needs to know.
