“It’s a different city when the lights are out.”
Dawg, my hair just stood. I would have loved to walk those streets, feel the shadows, take in the silence. Always felt like the sidewalk retained energy from the bounce in pedestrian steps; did that dissipate? Would I have felt bigger, smaller, more at home, more alone?
Booked my ticket, regardless.
Now, to find a coat.

#posturaPH #nyc @timbreheadphones x @teammanila + @abbyjocson on the subway with me. Hi! (Taken with Instagram)
Time to fly back to my other other home — and this is going to be one of my songs this summer.
From Super Cat to Don Dada!
Love strong,

No matter how much I love Manila, there’s just something about Brooklyn Summers and New York QT that cannot be replicated. Williamsburg roof-topping with beautiful people (and that crack-laced Buffalo Chicken Dip), watching my mini-me thrive in creativity, Ice Cube echoing my thoughts over the speakers saying “today was a good day” - it makes the other 11 months of hard body desk/shoot duty worth it.
Thank you so much to Omar, Louise, Jess, Deana, Chico, and Sandy for being creative and wonderful.

On Sunday, January 16, 2011, two of New York City’s most famed parties collide in Brooklyn!

Swung by the Ruffian show at the Lincoln Center yesterday to warm me up for the rest of New York Fashion Week. Here are some snaps!
(Shouts to André Leon Talley. Brrrap.)

Weather change + my body’s minor freak out to inhaling clean air = me with a scarf, trying to take it easy, but I’m blessed to have access to all the shows this Fashion Week so I’ll do my best to catch what I can and give you a sneak peek.
Monique Lhuillier is circled and pencilled in for Monday though. Go Pinas.
Speaking of the Philippines, shouts to Direk Joey Espino, Direk Cata Figueroa, and Tina Herrera, plus of course Meki Saldana and Charlene “Chat” Almarvez - the Philippine Fashion Week posse representing at New York Fashion Week this season. And did I hear Michael Cinco was at the tents?
I’ll be on the lookout.

Thanks to Kay Slay and Mighty Whitey for having me, and broadening my understanding *cough* of the art of radio.
What I learned:
1. UStream. Video girls like to drop by the booth and show the viewers things.
2. If somebody asks me about Jackie Chan in the future, I’m supposed to take it the wrong way and call them racist.
3. Mighty Whitey is a protective dude.
4. Who Shiest Bubz was. Well no, not really. I still don’t know who he is, but I met him and got a shirt.
5. Rappers will ask you for your phone number before your name.
6. Shade 45 and the Christian Network are neighbors at Sirius. I’m guessing the latter didn’t also have 4 bottles of alcohol in their booth.
7. The Drama King pays taxes.
Respect.

Rafe Bartholomew, kicking ass with his Tagalog skills, inviting us all to the reading and book signing of Pacific Rims.
[You know, that book I told you to buy two weeks ago?]
